Beginning Wrapped Wire Jewelry
Does working with wire and beads interest you? If so, come join us for
an evening of wire wrapping. No previous experience needed. Bring
you favorite beads, have fun, and learn new skills.

Build Your Own Snowshoes!
Have you ever wanted to make your own snowshoes? Learn how
to weave a pair of Ojibwa style, wooden snowshoes. The kit includes
a frame that is bent, sanded, and ready to go along with
pre-cut lacing. This program is a great low-cost way to build
your own snowshoes and wear them with pride or give as a gift.
Construction of snowshoes will take place on two evenings, as it
takes a while to get these things made!

Alcohol Stove Making
Need a portable camp stove? Can’t afford the high price tag of
a stove on a college budget? We have the solution for you! All
you need are 2 empty soda cans and a penny and you can create
your own functional alcohol powered camp stove! Come and
try your hand at making a stove. Once the stoves are made, we’ll
give them a test run on boiling water for hot cocoa.

Make Your Own Candles
Love that warm glow of candles? Then join us to make your
own. We’ll be using both beeswax and paraffin to make some
beautiful candles. Bring along any old candle chunks or holders
that you that you’d like to reuse and we’ll recycle them into a
shiny new candle! These make great handcrafted gifts.

Intermediate Wrapped Wire Jewelry
Have you made wrapped wire jewelry before? Are you interested
in going beyond the basics and learning some new techniques?
If so, come join us for a fun evening of intermediate wire
wrapping. You will learn everything you need to take your wire
wrapping skills to the next level. We will go through step by
step the skills necessary for you to complete a bracelet and
earring set. Previous experience or the beginning wire wrapping
class is required.

Making Hemp Jewelry
Hemp is attractive, durable, and environmentally friendly. You
will learn how to work with hemp and basic knots. Beads and
knots will be used to embellish your jewelry designs.
This is a make and take workshop.

Mosaics
Explore the world of mosaic art. We will manipulate glass and
tiles to create mosaic candle holders and tiles, as well as get an
introduction to the many different techniques and
materials used in the form of art. Learn how to make holders
for all those candles you have laying around. We will teach you
how to manipulate tiles and glass to create beautiful
candle-holders and tiles. Make your holiday gifts this season.

Sew For Kids
Each winter, a group of volunteers get together for treats,
cocoa, music and polar fleece to create warm hats, scarves and
mittens for community children. Join us for a fun and
creative evening of giving. Anyone can help, you do not need to
know how to sew, we’ll teach you.
