College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) enables anyone to take exams on a variety of college-level topics.

  • Specific CLEP tests and minimum scores are accepted for college credit toward, or exemption from, some degree program requirements.

  • Only CLEP Tests listed below are accepted for UMD credit or exemption.

  • CLEP examinations are available at a location near you. Visit the CollegeBoard to locate the nearest Test Center.

  • Contact the College Board to order a CLEP transcript to be sent to UMD, if not requested at the time of the examination.
