Financial markets

classroomWelcome to the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Financial Markets Program. We invite you to learn more about this new and exciting program, and to contact us with any questions or comments you have.

It has long been the desire of the Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) at the University of Minnesota Duluth to be the School of First Choice for undergraduate education, especially an education in Finance.

In an effort to enhance basic skills of effective written and spoken communication, comprehending and using quantitative information, and understanding information from technologically based systems, the Labovitz School of Business and Economics has established the Financial Markets Program.

This program allows the School to form new and exciting strategic alliances with local members of the business community, specifically with the Allete Corporation, US Bancorp, and Wells Fargo Bank.

The education gained from participating in the Financial Markets Program will be very relevant to the financial industry, and students will graduate better prepared to make immediate impact in their positions, consequently diminishing some need for long and costly training programs. The goal of this program is to give our students an education they can use . . . and continue to use . . . tomorrow!

The foundation of the Financial Markets Program is comprised of three key elements: Academic Studies, the Financial Markets Lab, and the Investment Fund.
