of Education Title VI grant entitled “Internationalizing a
Critical Regional Resource: UMD's School of Business and Economics.”
Grant outlay: $380,000. Fall 2001 to Summer 2004.
Attended a 1-day workshop on Study Abroad Curriculum Integration
Workshop organized by the University of Minnesota Global Campus.

Attended the 2001 Globalization of Business Schools Conference
organized by AACSB. This 3-day conference was held in Los Angeles,
CA. March 7-9, 2001. Participated in the Seminar for Faculty
Development in International Business (Marketing). This seminar
is a 4-day faculty development program designed to help faculty
integrate international materials into their courses to make them
more globally oriented. The seminar was offered by the Center for
International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the University
of Memphis. June 15-18, 2000.
Dr. Praveen Aggarwal participated in a week-long site visit to
UK organized by the Global Campus (UM-TC) that included discussions
with administrators and faculty at five British universities including
Strathclyde, Lancaster , Westminster , Butler , and Kent universities.
February 10 to 16, 2003.
Dr. Praveen Aggarwal participated in a 5-day site visit to Mauritius
to meet with administrators and faculty at the University of Mauritius
to discuss possibility of student exchange programs. August 2002.
Dr. Jannifer David
Participated in the Seminar for Faculty Development in International
Business (Management). This seminar is a 4-day faculty development
program designed to help faculty integrate international materials
into their courses to make them more globally oriented. The seminar
was offered by the Center for International Business Education and
Research (CIBER) at the University of Memphis. June 2002.
Dr. Rod Lievano
Dr. Lievano was a member of the University of Minnesota team evaluating
EMANAHUAC: Comunidad Educativa in Cuernavaca , Mexico for the UM
Study Abroad program. January 2002.
Member, Bush Foundation Internationalization Grant Steering Committee,
University of Minnesota, 2001- present.
Member, UMD Bush Foundation International Grant Advisory Committee,
2001- present.
Dr. Linda Rochford
Co-Principal Investigator (with Dr. Praveen Aggarwal) for a U.S.
Department of Education Title VI grant entitled “Internationalizing
a Critical Regional Resource: UMD's School of Business and Economics.”
Grant outlay: $380,000. Fall 2001 to Summer 2004.
Prof. Al Roline
Participated in the UMD Study in England Program during Fall Semester
2002. During that time, he taught both an International Business
course and the Legal Environment course. As part of the latter course
requirements, students attended a courtroom proceeding in the local
Victoria Law Courts, and made a visit to the Houses of Parliament
in London.
Prof. Randy Skalberg
Participated in the Seminar for Faculty Development in International
Business (Legal and Ethical Environment). This seminar is a 4-day
intensive faculty development program designed to help faculty integrate
international materials into their courses to make them more globally
oriented. The seminar was offered by the Center for International
Business Education and Research (CIBER) at Indiana University. June
2002.
