Sixth Annual Professor for a day Event coming up!

PANEL AGENDA & DISCUSSION TOPICS

LSBE ALUMNI PARTICIPANTS

(return to main news page)

Tuesday, February 28, 2006 will be your next opportunity to participate in Professor for a Day activities. We will have fifteen alumni back on campus participating in panel discussions and classroom presentations. The first panel (9:30-10:45am Library Rotunda) will focus on “Soft Skills”, what they are and why they are needed to succeed in the business world; the second panel (11:00-12:15 Library Rotunda) will focus on “Community Involvement” – why it is becoming more important as part of job expectations; and the final panel (2:00-3:15pm Library Rotunda) will focus on Global Competition.

Professor for a Day began as a way to connect LSBE alumni with current students and staff. Alumni are invited back to campus to step into the role of "Professor" for a day through panel discussions, classroom presentations and networking opportunities with students. This event is an opportunity for students to learn the relationship between the academic world that they are currently in and the realities they will face in the world of work.
