The Swenson College of Science & Engineering is located in the
Engineering Building on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus. The
College includes the departments of
Aerospace Studies,
Biology,
Chemical Engineering,
Chemistry & Biochemistry,
Civil Engineering,
Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering,
Geological Sciences,
Mechanical & Industrial Engineering,
Mathematics & Statistics and
Physics.
Our faculty have been recognized for their academic and research
achievements.
Duluth is located at the westernmost tip of Lake Superior, halfway between Minneapolis/St. Paul and the Canadian border. Industries include aerospace, tourism, healthcare, finance and banking, mining, paper, communications, higher education and shipping. Yes, it’s pretty cold sometimes and we usually get quite a bit of snow...but outdoor opportunities abound in the surrounding area all year round.
The Swenson College of Science & Engineering is growing steadily and our plans include increases in faculty, undergraduate and graduate programs as well as enrollment.
