Duluth is located at the westernmost tip of Lake Superior, halfway between Minneapolis/St. Paul and the Canadian border. Industries include aviation design and manufacturing, tourism (3.5 million visitors per year), healthcare, finance and banking, mining, paper, communications, higher education and shipping. Yes, winter gets cold sometimes and we usually get quite a bit of snow...but outdoor opportunities abound in the city and surrounding area all year round. Outdoor Magazine recently named Duluth its runner-up "Best Adventure Hub" in the world
