John Goodge, Professor in the Dept. of Geology,recently returned from researching connections between North America and Antarctica that existed more than a billion years ago when the earth's tectonic plates formed a supercontinent - Gondwana. International Workshop on Graph Labelings Held at UMD
The International Conference included presentations from Graph theorists — and Department of Mathematics and Statistics Professor Dalibor Froncek says that participants were excited to share their ideas. It's the first time it has ever taken place in the United States — let alone Duluth. WDIO did a great job reporting on the conference as you can see here.
2010 Cardboard Boat Races: Students Battle it out on Bagley Pond
