There are a number of scholarships for incoming freshman. Please contact the Admissions office for more information.
Most departments offer and administer scholarships to upper classmen based on academic merit and need. Please contact the specific department (use the "Department" link on the left menu) to find out what scholarships they offer.

To be considered for SCSE engineering scholarships, an application (pdf) must be completed and submitted to the department secretary in your engineering department. The Engineering Scholarship Committee meets in late July to decide on awards. Students are notified in early August. Scholarships are applied to a student’s tuition and fees account at UMD. Awards are handed out at the Engineering/Industry Banquet which is held in September or October.
