Bus Service to Twin Cities

Jefferson Lines is Offering Daily Bus Service from the UMD Campus to the Twin Cities

Jefferson Bus Lines is offering the College Connection, which connects the UMD community as well as Duluth area residents to the Twin Cities and points beyond. The Jefferson Line pick up is right on UMD's campus at Kirby Circle (formerly the DTA bus stop), on Kirby Drive (see map to right). The service is seven days a week.

The bus leaves UMD each afternoon at 3:50 p.m. and stops at St. Paul, Minneapolis, the Amtrak Station, and the University of Minnesota Coffman Memorial Union and St. Paul Student Center, as well as other locations on Interstate 35. The bus leaves the Twin Cities for Duluth each morning. Tickets to the Twin Cities are only $23 each way. Riders with a U Card (student ID) will receive an additional 15 percent off daily service. Tickets can be purchased on the UMD campus at the UMD Stores, Street Level. In addition, on Fridays and Sundays, a Movie Express bus is offered. See details below.

MOVIE EXPRESS BUS

The Movie Express bus offers premium service to the Twin Cities on Fridays, returning on Sunday.

Included in your ticket price is bottled water and a snack. Enjoy the ride to and from the Twin Cities while viewing a recently released DVD. Tickets are $24 one-way or $45 round trip. See below for pick-up and drop-off locations.
