Sieur Du Luth Opera Training Program

June 26 - August 1, 2010

Opera in Duluth on the shores of beautiful Lake Superior!

Dr. Regina Zona has designed a new opera program for the summer of 2010. In addition to an opportunity to perform a fully staged opera with orchestra - Don Giovanni - she has expanded the offerings to create a more comprehensive training program. The curriculum includes the following:

  • Voice Lessons
  • Coachings
  • Weekly master classes (with festival teachers/conductors or guest artists)
  • Weekly repertoire recitals (lieder, melodie, 20 th/21 st century, ensembles, etc.) – would also require weekly rehearsals
  • Yoga for Singers
  • Stage Combat
  • Audition techniques (repertoire, dress, deportment, etc.)
  • Acting and Role Preparation
  • Dance
  • Alexander Technique
  • The Business of Singing Workshop (resumes/headshots/agents/auditions, etc.)
Of course, this requires the participants to pay a nominal tuition fee; however, it gives you an opportunity to receive college credit if you desire it and, more importantly, to gain the most valuable information, training and contacts to prepare you for this rigorous career.
