The Office for Students in Transition

Fall 2011 Students

Advisement & Registration is a one-day program designed to provide new students with important information about UMD, review major and degree requirements, provide students with opportunities to meet other new students, offer advisement about course selection, learn about the online class schedule, and register for fall-semester classes. The schedule of the day is listed below for new students. Events begin in the Kirby Ballroom on the third floor of Kirby Student Center.

Students should choose to attend Advisement & Registration on a day when they can attend the entire program. Activities through the end of the day are a vital part of the program.

Please note that parents, friends and family members who accompany their students to Advisement & Registration will follow the Parent Program schedule. Parents stay with their students through 11:15 a.m.; after that time there are special events for parents, friends and family members. Parent programs include a student panel, health services, housing information and more. Information on the Parent Program at Advisement & Registration can be found here.
