Marshall Performing Arts Center
Music and Lyrics by James Quinn and Alaric Jans
Book written by John R. Powers
Directed by Ann Aiko Bergeron

s The UMD Theatre program is housed within the School of Fine Arts. "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" is a rollicking musical that captures the funniest aspects of youthful growing pains and the challenging obstacles of adolescence. At St. Bastion's Catholic school, Eddie Ryan falls for the outcast Becky at an early age, only to later learn that she possesses a love of a higher calling. Both hilarious and poignant, each song will tickle the funny bone or warm the heart of anyone who ever went to school, public or private.
