Allie B's Hollywood HOTSPOTSurprisingly, every once in a while you can actually learn something from reading celebrity gossip. Most recently, I’ve learned that identity theft really can happen to anyone. Courtney Love explained last week that someone has used Kurt Cobain’s social security number to purchase a $3.2 million home in New Jersey.
Cobain died in 1994, but the house was purchased in his name in 2003. Love also went on to say the same people used her name to set up over 180 credit cards, according to Perezhilton.com. Love is working with the police to investigate the claims. Sienna Miller is easily more famous for her past relationship with Jude Law (in which he cheated on her with the nanny), than she is for her acting, but the fashion icon has found herself a new man, and this time it’s serious. Rhys Ifans, whose acting credits, according to IMDB.com include “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” and voiceover work in “Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties,” has proposed Miller. Ifans has proposed to Miller a couple times in the past, but U.K.’s Sunday Mirror is reporting that this time she said yes and the couple is planning a summer wedding.
Kimora Lee Simmons, ex-wife of music mogul Russell Simmons and mother of their two children, is pregnant again, the New York Post’s famous Page Six is reporting. This time, the father is Djimon Hounsou, her fiancé who is also a model and actor. Matt Damon announced to People.com that he and his wife of two years, Luciana, are expecting their second child together. Their first child, Isabella, was born in 2006, and Luciana has a 9-year-old daughter, Alexia, from a previous marriage.
In a sad but true story, actor Patrick Swayze has confirmed that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. On the bright side, his physician, Dr. George Fisher, stated, “Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.” As an interesting side note, since word of Swayze’s cancer got out, hits to the actor’s IMDB.com page increased 61,800 percent from the previous week! Now that is impressive!
Ashton Kutcher is up to his old tricks again. This time he’s not punking celebrities though, instead he’s actually working with them to punk the press, the paparazzi and audiences. Kutcher’s new show “Pop Fiction” debuted on E! last weekend, and it has all the major sites, People.com, Perezhilton.com and Eonline.com, second-guessing any abnormal stories that come their way. The show’s premiere followed Paris Hilton accompanied by what appeared to be a religious guru, but was in fact a biker from California. Many media outlets ran with the story, citing Hilton’s change of religion, but it was all a hoax. If you want to check it out yourself, the show airs new episodes Sunday nights at 9:30 p.m. on E!
