Allie B's Hollywood HOTSPOTIf you’re like me at all, you love a cute new Hollywood couple! Serena Williams may not be familiar with “love” on the tennis court, but off the court, she has been spotted on numerous occasions hanging out with the rapper Common. According to Perezhilton.com, the couple has been dating for several months now. You can even check out the couple in Common’s new music video “I Want You,” which also features Kanye West and Alicia Keys.
Many of you might not know much about the three brothers taking the world of teen pop by storm, but for those Jonas Brothers fans out there (and I know you’re out there), get ready for a complete summer filled with Jonas! Their Disney Channel movie, “Camp Rock,” premiers in June, their third album comes out in August, they’re already working on their Disney Channel series, “J.O.N.A.S“ (Junior Operatives Networking as Spies) and they’re doing a summer tour! As if that weren’t enough to keep them busy, somehow they are finding time to film a new reality series as well!
Reuters.com reported that the title of the show is still in the works, but it is rumored to air this spring and will allow viewers to get up close and personal with the brothers while they are on their current tour.
In 1995, “Beverly Hills 90210” was at the peak of its popularity, and now, in 2008, it’s coming back! The new show is a spin-off of the popular drama, not a re-make, and is currently being developed by the CW network, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Don’t get too excited just yet though; it may be a while before this show hits your television screen, as they are still currently casting for roles and working on scripts.
It’s nice to see Owen Wilson back to work and hopefully feeling better than he was last year when he attempted suicide. However, according to Perezhilton.com, Wilson refused to do any promotion for his latest movie “Drillbit Taylor” and it showed at the box office. Despite being made by the comedic geniuses that brought us “Knocked Up” and “Superbad,” Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen’s latest flick came in fourth at the box office, with earnings of $10.2 million in its opening weekend. According to IMDb.com, that’s only one third of the earnings their other recent movies made opening weekend.
Madonna, who was just recently inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, has been in the music business since before I was born, so needless to say, she’s an expert on the music industry. The nearly-50-year-old singer’s new CD, “Hard Candy,” doesn’t come out until April 29, but it’s already reached No. 2 on Amazon.com’s recent best seller list. Her first single off the album features Justin Timberlake and Timbaland as they sing about only having “4 Minutes to Save The World.” It’s a catchy song, thanks to Timbaland’s beat, but I can’t help but wonder why there is only four minutes to save the world and if I’m supposed to feel safe knowing a former boy-band member is doing the saving.
