Glensheen hosts UMD Graduation party

Glensheen Estate will be hosting the 4th annual graduation ceremony on May 8. Senior Doug Leskee who has been working with the UMD Alumni Association to plan the senior party, said the party is to get everyone together. “The whole purpose is to reunite, and see people who have gone through all of the hard work and effort you have,” Leskee said. “You will be able to take a breather right before finals and reflect on the past at the university.”
The graduation party is sponsored by the UMD Alumni Association. According to the graduation party handout, the party will start at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. The handout also states that at the Glensheen Estate, there will be tours, a bonfire, drinks, food and a live band. “This is a welcoming for graduates into the Alumni Association,” Leskee said. “It is to let them know that we are always going to be Bulldogs.”
Leskee said the party is open to all graduating seniors of 2008. Those who are interested in attending the party must RSVP by May 2 by contacting the UMD Alumni Association: (218) 726-6186.
