UMD Health Services has three students groups that can help you get connected to health and wellness on campus, and to personal and professional development opportunities!

Peer Health Educators: With the goal of working to promote healthy lifestyle choices and a harm reduction approach to alcohol/drug use and sexual health, members meet weekly for one hour to discuss current issues, to meet with guest speakers, and to plan presentations and events accordingly. There are two groups: Sexual Health Education (S/HE) & Alcohol Peer Educators (APE).

Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC):The Student Health Advisory Committee is a group of dedicated students who act as a student voice to UMD Health Services and school administration on campus health and wellness issues. Members meet weekly for one hour to discuss current issues and to implement solutions.

Wellness Advocates: The Wellness Advocates are a group of students who are passionate about wellness! The wellness advocates plan and implement innovative wellness programming on campus, including the annual Bulldog Field Day event.
