UMD student

Greetings! Staff from UMD Student Life are the hosts for the parent and family portion of the Orientation program. To best meet the specific needs of students and parents, separate programs have been designed. Students receive academic advising, register for classes, and obtain their U Card (University identification card). Parents and family members spend most of their day with their student, with a special overview session in the afternoon and Student Life guides to help parents find and visit individual offices. Time is built in to the schedule for parents and family members to familiarize themselves with the campus and complete or turn in any outstanding paperwork.

The schedule for the parent/family program from summer 2017 follows. Towards the bottom of the page, you'll find helpful arrival notes. This page will be updated as plans are finalized for future parent/family orientation programs.
