Process Timeline
September through November
The Student Services Fee Committee (SSFC) is formed. During this time, the committee meets to train members in the process.
Fee recipients will be notified of the specific timeline.
January through February
Health Services, Intercollegiate Athletics, Kirby Student Center, and Recreational Sports and Outdoor Programs will make presentations and budget proposals to the SSFC. The SSFC will have deliberations and develop follow up questions for the departments. To be considered, departmental proposals must be received by Thursday, January 17, 2013.
Following the first four departmental proposals, all other departments and student organizations will then make presentations and budget proposals to the SSFC. The SSFC will have deliberations and develop follow up questions for the organizations. To be considered, student organization and department proposals must be received by Thursday, January 31, 2013.
Student Services Fee Presentation Schedule
March - Week 1
The SSFC continues to meet to develop the recommendations that will be made to the UMD Chancellor.
The SSFC will make their recommendations to Chancellor Black through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Life. The recommendations will be made by Friday, March 1, 2013.
March - Week 2
Appeals made by any organization will be reviewed. Written appeals need to be submitted to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Life by Friday, March 8, 2013 at 4:30P.M.
March - Week 4
The UMD Chancellor will submit the final recommendations to the University Of Minnesota Board Of Regents. This process must be completed by March 31, 2013 to make the May agenda for the Board of Regents.
