By Caity Shea Violette
Directed by Tom Isbell
2nd WEEK OF RUN:
December 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 2011 @ 7:30 pm
MPAC Dudley Experimental Theatre
After undergoing a traumatic experience, Kendra must rebuild her life, fighting a battle of acceptance with her family, her friends and herself. Alone and betrayed, she must learn to rely on her counselor and fellow psych ward patients, fighting the demons of her past. A World Premiere by current UMD student Caity Shea Violette, Target Behavior is a seriocomic look at a young girl coming to terms with who she really is.
UMD Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of current UMD student Caity Shea Violette's play Target Behavior. Caity Shea Violette began as a playwright in 2008 after she was selected to participate in a playwriting intensive while she was attending the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. She wrote and directed her first play, Paisley Poppies, at the historic Weyerhauser Auditorium and the show was later remounted for the 2009 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Last year, her play Sand was chosen as an alternate in the 2011 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region V Ten-Minute-Play Competition. The idea for Target Behavior began a year and a half ago in playwriting class. Since that time, it has gone through over twenty drafts and received a concert reading last October. Caity Shea is from Woodbury, pursuing a B.F.A. in Theatre with an emphasis in Acting. She is currently a junior.
Individual Tickets: $6 - $18 (Prices include service fees.)

You may be surprised at just how many times you will be put into a situation where you will need to display your dining etiquette. Being knowledgeable and practiced, you will feel confident and at ease in any setting.
