As the semester comes to a close, the Library is teaming up with other departments across campus to create "Stress-Less Week," a series of events from April 30 to May 4 designed to help students relax and unwind as they prepare for finals week.

Monday, April 30: Relax in the Library
Nothing beats stress like yoga! Visit the Library's rm119 from 1 to 2pm on Monday for a free session with a certified yoga instructor from Yoga North. No previous yoga experience is necessary. Sponsored by Kirby Program Board.
Tuesday, May 1: Birds and More in Bagley Nature Area
Noon-1:00pm, Meet just outside the doors to the Library. Leader: Tim Bates – Recreational Sports Outdoor Program.
Grab your binoculars and bird book as we explore the beautiful Bagley Nature Area, right on campus. We will hike the trails and look closely for birds that can be found in Bagley. Discover a natural area right in the city that can be a quick escape from the hectic world. All skill levels welcome.
Wednesday, May 2: Pet Away Stress
11:00-2:00pm, Kirby Terrace (outside of Kirby Lounge)
Stop by and stress less with some lovable canines! Representatives from Humane Educators and Animal Allies will be on campus to provide dogs for UMD students, faculty, and staff to play with, hold, and pet! Stop by and "de-stress" during the week before finals! Sponsored by UMD Health Services, Office of Civic Engagement, Animal Allies, and KUMD.
Thursday, May 3: Cartoon Lunch Break
Noon-1:00pm, Library 119
Give your brain a rest and work that funny bone. Join other students for an hour of cartoon classics from the public domain.
Friday, May 4: Ninja Showdown
3:30-4:30, Library 119
This fun, energetic, and competitive game is the best break from studying! It is a game of speed, reflexes, and agility, perfect if you need a 5 minute distraction from homework. This is an easy game to learn, so come join us for some NINJA!!!

The Tweed Museum of Art is a great place to unwind. Come and view the art exhibitions for a relaxing break in your day! Closed M; T: 9 am - 8 pm; W-F: 9 am - 4:30 pm; Sa-Su: 1-5 pm.
Puzzles, games, and arts & crafts will be available all week long in Library 119, a designated "De-Stress Zone." Stop by and take a break from studying!
