Cash for Books Buyback

Cash for Books Buyback is May 4 and May 7-11 in UMD Stores EXPRESS. Customers will receive up to 50% of the current new price for books sold back to UMD Stores. Register for prizes including $50 gift cards and an iPad with case. A photo ID is required during Buyback. Return rental textbooks at the Buyback in UMD Stores EXPRESS during finals week or the returns counter in UMD Stores lower level.

"Bag Free" event

By popular demand, UMD Stores will extend it's "Bag Free" event in all stores through May 13. Bring a bag or backpack, grab a used bag off the bag trees at the store entrances, or purchase a reusable bag at UMD Stores. ChicoBags™ are on sale through May 13. Don't take a plastic bag and get a wooden nickel to drop in the charity bin to support three local charities (UMD Sustainability, Boys and Girls Club of the Northland, Damiano Center). These charities benefit from this conscious effort to go green at UMD Stores. (Purchases must be "baggable" merchandise to earn wooden nickels for charity.)

UMD Market Day in the Plaza

UMD Market Day in the Plaza happens every Wednesday from 1:30-4:30pm, May 16 - September 26. Enjoy the farmer's market, live music, and local art on Kirby Plaza in front of UMD Stores. In case of rain, the event will be held inside Kirby Plaza Bus Hub. UMD Stores will have specials inside the store during the Market each week.
