Community Involvement Fair

Stop by the Community Involvement Fair to learn about different volunteer and community-based learning opportunities in the Duluth community. There will be over 45 organizations who partner with UMD to connect you to opportunities that serve the community through education, environmental sustainability, health care, animal welfare, youth, social justice, and arts!

Study Abroad Fair

Attend the UMD Study Abroad Fair Sponsored by the International Education Office (IEO).

The Study Abroad Fair is held each semester to inform the campus community of global opportunities available through UMD, provide detailed program information, and answer any questions regarding education abroad at UMD.

IEO staff, UMD faculty, and Affiliates will be present to answer your questions.

Study Abroad 101

Attend Study Abroad 101 every Wednesday @ noon in Kirby Student Center 323 (across from the DC)

This is an open session to all students to learn the basic steps to study abroad. This is a great intro for students who know they want to study abroad but don't know where to start, or for those who have found a program and want to know the "next steps". Come join us!

E-fest: an Engineering, Computer Science and Science Career Fair

E-fest is a career fair for UMD students and recent alumni interested in job and internship opportunities in engineering, computer science, math and science. Employers will be seeking candidates for internships and full-time positions, as well as promoting their company. View Employers Attending.

On-campus interviews in conjunction with E-Fest will be held the day of the fair and on September 20. Companies will select students to interview at the fair or students may request an interview through the Schedules feature in GoldPASS.

Students/alumni register at the door. There is no cost to attend.

Resume Drop-in Hours

Get immediate feedback on your resume, no appointment necessary! These 10-15 minute sessions are for students who already have a written resume and have reviewed the Resume Guidelines in the Career Handbook. You MUST bring a paper copy of your resume to the session, and then receive feedback from Career Services staff.

If you are a beginning resume writer, develop your resume prior to attending one of these sessions by using the Resume Writing section of the Career Handbook.

Bike to Campus and Win Prizes!

Every month, UMD will have prize drawings for students who bike commute at least 8 times that month. Form teams and compete with other teams - top point-earning teams will win a pizza party at Bulldog Pizza!

Also, each semester, we will give away a free bike from a local bike shop to students who have commuted at least 8 times per month for the whole semester.
