Summer Study Abroad in Poland Information Meeting

UMD will offer a Summer Short-term Study Abroad in Poland program (tentative June 18 to July 21, $3400). Program includes a 4 credit general microbiology course at the Wroclaw Institute of Genetics and Microbiology along with lectures and tours to introduce participants to the geography, history, and culture of eastern Europe. Opportunities for weekend travel to Prague, Berlin, Warsaw, Gdansk, etc.

Playwright & Lyricist state: "The bad years make the best stories." - The show is about life in your 20s. It is a compilation of 12 characters' stories about the difficult and wonderful transition into adult life.

Stress-Less Week at UMD Library

During the week of December 10-14, the Library will host a series of FREE stress relief events for students. On Monday at 1pm, attend a yoga workshop in the Library Rotunda. On Tuesday, come get a 10 minute chair massage in Library 119 from 1-3pm. On Wednesday, attend a workshop on managing test anxiety in Library 116. On Thursday and Friday, grab coffee with Champ from 8:30-10am on the 1st floor. Take a study break anytime on the 1st floor with arts and crafts, puzzles, and board games.

MHFA participants learn a 5-step procedure for recognizing and assisting people who are experiencing mental health problems or crises, while being introduced to the risk factors and warning signs of specific illnesses such as anxiety, depression, psychosis and addiction.

Electronic Dance Music Night

Introducing Electronic Dance Music Night next Thursday, December 13th, in the UMD Kirby Ballroom from 9pm-11pm! Featuring DJ Big Dog and DJ Risky Fingers! Two incredibly talented DJ's that represent the state of Minnesota! Admission is five dollars all proceeds will be going to the Damiano Center. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase 500 pairs of socks for the Damiano Center by Christmas. Sponsoring this event is Greek Life! Looking forward in seeing everyone there! P.S. Free pizza
