Buried Child

UMD Theatre presents Buried Child By Sam Shepard Directed by Jenna Soleo-Shanks

Achieving national fame with this Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Sam Shepard offers a macabre view of a Midwestern American family in a drama that revolves around a dark and terrible secret. The work conveys a mystical and cannibalistic pull that binds the family even as its most essential ties unravel. Could digging up the past deliver them from their sins or will it drive them even further over the edge?
