Define Your Success.

We love what we do because we get to work with students. Our interactions and all of our programs are designed to support students in defining their own success and in developing a course of action to achieve it.

Office For Students in Transition (SIT)

We have one passion in SIT - students. We have years of experience listening to students, mentoring them, cheering for them, consoling them, and supporting them; but we also know we learn from students as much as they learn from us.

Advisement and Registration

As a mandatory program for all incoming new and transfer students, advisement and registration will help ensure students are on the right academic track for a successful, smooth transition to UMD. Check out the details for advisement and registration.

Bulldog Welcome Week

Bulldog Welcome Week is a mandatory program for all incoming first year students. It's a week full of fun and engaging activities to get you ready for your journey at UMD. During this week, students can expect to connect with faculty, meet upper-division students, make new friends, learn first-year survival tips, explore the UMD campus, find out about student organizations and activities, and get a chance to explore the beautiful city of Duluth! Check out the FAQs here.

Transfer Student Connect (TSC) Program

The TSC program is designed specifically for transfer students.  TSC mentors, students who previously transferred to UMD, are available to answer questions, provide resources for academic success, create social networking opportunities, and support individuals in finding their path to success!
