International Student Teaching in Ireland

Successful international programs are a result of a collaborative effort between UMD’s various colleges, their respective departments, and International Programs and Services (IPS).

The International Student Teaching program provides the College of Education and Human Service Professions and the Department of Education the ability to fully manage program logistics. Our office assumes financial responsibility for operations, however, revenues and losses are the responsibility of the college. Students pay an application fee—plus a study abroad fee which included in the program fee.

Our office provides the following for the International Student Teaching Program:

  • Program Leader Risk Management Training
  • Student Application and required documents
  • Advising coordinated with the department
  • Marketing (web, digital, and print)
  • Cooperative Program Budget
  • Student Billing
  • Registration advisement
  • Cost estimate to Financial Aid for processing
  • Insurance
  • 24/7 Emergency Contact
  • Pre-departure support and resources
  • Online Health & Safety Orientation
  • Cooperative Program Payment Processing
  • Post-Program Evaluation
