There will be a panel consisting of returned study abroad students on Thursday, April 4th in Griggs Center 4-6pm.

Maybe you're a bit skeptical about the value of a study abroad experience. Maybe you're nervous about being far from home. Maybe you've always dreamed about traveling the world but you don't think you could afford it.

On April 4th, you'll have a chance to talk with students who have been in your shoes that decided to take the leap and study abroad. They've been through it all- the application process, academic planning and financial aid. The panelists will share their experience through a presentation. Then, guests will be able to ask questions.

Study Abroad Panelists

  • Marta Rigstad - Community Empowerment in India

  • Emma Ricke - Costa Rica: Global Surf Culture

  • Kari Thoreson - Bilbao, Spain

  • Madeline Zamzow - Växjö, Sweden

If you have any questions, please stop into the Study Abroad office located in 138 Kirby. Drop-in advising hours are Monday through Friday 10-11am. Be sure to attend Study abroad 101, a presentation by a returned student covering everything you need to know from applications to financial aid. Study Abroad 101 takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday at 12 pm.
