Bree Bussey works as the Community Programs Coordinator in the Center for Regional and Tribal Child Welfare Studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Bree is responsible for the development and implementation of community-based grant projects with a focus on American Indian Child Welfare. Bree holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Indian Studies and English and her Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Her professional experience includes local and national work in providing training and technical assistance for tribally based domestic violence programs, Program Coordination for an emergency domestic violence shelter, and working in transitional and permanent supportive housing for American Indian families and individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. Bree also provides regional training and consultation to social workers, foster parents, and community members about providing culturally competent support and resources.
