Kristina works at Nystrom and Associates in Baxter, Minnesota and she recently competed her field placement at Morrison County Social Services. She will be seeking employment in public or tribal child welfare. |

ChaQuana McEntyre passed her final oral exam on August 31, 2012. ChaQuana was a Child Welfare Scholar and recently completed her Field II placement at SLCPHHS. ChaQuana will be employed at SLCPHHS doing family group work. Her goal is to become an LICSW and work in the field of sexology. |
Alicia
Bartel passed her final oral exam on August 10th,
2012. Her special area of interest is in child
welfare and mental health. She completed her Field
II internship at St. Louis County in the ICWA Unit.
Alicia will be moving to Rochester, MN to work
for Family Service Rochester as an In-Home Therapist.
In this position, Alicia will utilize her skills
working with families and children addressing concerns
of truancy, severe neglect and abuse, and mental
illness. |

will be moving to Las Vegas, Nevada following graduation. |
Matthias
Norenberg passed his Final Oral Exam on May 4,
2012. His special area of interest is in child
welfare practice. Matthias is a Child Protection
Case Manager for St.
Louis County Public Health and Human Services in
Hibbing, MN. He will begin work as a Trainer for
the Minnesota
Child Welfare Training System with a focus
on the Signs of Safety Curriculum. |
Tory
White passed her Final Oral Exam on May 4, 2012.
Her special area of interest is in macro social
work practice. Tory is interested in working at
a college or university and did fieldwork with
the International
Student Office at UMD. She is presently employed
at Planned
Parenthood. Immediately
following graduation Tory will be participating
in a Culture
Health and Social Welfare Policy course through
the University of Minnesota. in South
Korea.

Cecelia
Bloomquist passed her Final Oral Exam on May 3,
2012. Her special area of interest is in child
welfare practice and clinical social work. Cecelia
also passed her Licensed Graduate
Social Work (LGSW) Exam prior to receiving
her MSW. Cecelia plans to seek a position in public
or tribal child welfare or clinical social work
in her home community of Grand Marais or the North
Shore of Lake Superior. |

Injury (TBI). Sara is employed as a Behavior Analyst with

Her special area of interest is in child welfare practice. Kim is employed as an individual counselor at Northern Pines Mental Health Center in Brainerd, Minnesota working in the schools with children grades 5-8. |

Justin Martin passed his Final Oral Exam in October 2011.
Justin received a child welfare scholarship and completed his fieldwork at St. Louis County Health and Human Services. He is currently doing some community work with Cyclists of Gitchee Gumee Shores (COGGS) in the development of accessible bike trails for all. He is seeking employment in child welfare practice. |

Kathleen Wright passed her Final Oral Exam in September 2011.
Kathleen completed her Final Master's Project Portfolio with an emphasis on public/tribal child welfare and mental health. Kathleen plans to interview at rural mental health agencies with a focus in cultural competency. She is preparing for the LGSW exam and her long-term goal is to obtain her LICSW. |

Linh will continue her work as a Social Worker at Northland Counseling Center in Grand Rapids doing psychotherapy. Linh is also working toward attaining her LICSW. |

Virginia, Minnesota. Becca received a child welfare
scholarship through the Center for Regional and Tribal
Child Welfare Studies while at UMD.
