A Few of Our Recent MSW Graduates

Brent passed his Final Oral Exam in January, 2009. His special
area of interest in the completion of his Person Practice Model
(PPM) was Asperger's syndrome. At the time of graduation Brent
was a social worker with St
Louis County Health and Human Services in
Duluth, MN.

Lesa Mrdutt and her faculty advisor, Kathy Heltzer
Lesa Mrdutt passed her Final Oral Exam on May 12, 2009. Her special
area of interest in completing her PPM was Collaborative Systems
of Care: Wraparound. At the time of graduation Lesa was a Wraparound
Case Mananger for the Human
Development Center in Douglas County. |

| Rachel Forsyth passed her Final Oral Exam on May 14,
2009. Her Portfolio reflected her special interest in macro paratice.

Nickolay passed her Final Oral Exam on May 19, 2009. Her Portfolio
reflected her special interest in macro social work practice. Following
graduation Katie will be moving to the Twin Cities |

Susan Sawyer passed her Final Oral Exam on May 19, 2009. She completed
a Masters Research Project Evaluation of the Program
to Aid Victimes of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) training in the Duluth
Public Schools. |

Dana Fromberg passed her final oral exam on May 21, 2009. She completed
a PPM with a special focus on Children's Mental Health and Wraparound
Services. |

Nichole Clover passed her Final Oral Exam on November 16, 2009.
She completed a Master's Research Project regarding the Merritt
Creek Day Treatment Program. Nichole is employed at the
Human Development Center working with TACT (Transitional Assertive
Community Treatment) |
Ben Hatfield passed his Final Oral Exam in November
of 2009.

Ben's primary interest (and the focus of his PPM)
is in providing services to people with dual mental illness and
chemical dependency challenges. Before graduating, he worked as residential
coordinator of the Human
Development Center's chemical dependency
program, and has been hired to serve as the Community Support Worker
for HDC's CSP Program in Douglas County upon getting his MSW. Ben
was a good friend to many of his classmates while a student here. |
