Trevor earned his MSW from UMD in 2007. His research focused on county and tribal social workers’ opinions about and understandings of tribal sovereignty in Indian child welfare cases.  He currently works for the Department in the Center for Regional and Tribal Child Welfare Studies, where he is involved in the development of training opportunities for tribal child welfare workers and in carrying out a collaborative evaluation of a Minnesota tribe’s Title IV-E child welfare program.  His academic interests include anti-racism and white privilege, tribal sovereignty, and child welfare.
