Burnett County Health and Human Services Department is dedicated to providing high quality, community-based services to the people of Burnett County. The Children and Families Unit (CFU) works to support children and families to help them identify, prevent, and resolve conditions which may contribute toward child abuse, neglect, delinquency, truancy, and uncontrollability.

In Field II the student will provide program coordination for the Partnership for Change which is run by a grant held by the Department of Health & Human Services and the St. Croix Tribe.  The Partnership is in place to provide Coordinated Service Team (wraparound) services to families involved in the child welfare system and experiencing substance abuse issues.  The intern will work on building collaboration between AODA services and child welfare; monitor and revise policies related to the Partnership; plan and run Coordinating Committee meetings; and provide direct service coordination to families involved in the program.
