Agency Description: The mission of this agency is to protect and support families with children, to protect adults who are vulnerable and/or have disabilities, and to promote self-sufficiency. The St. Louis County & Fon du Lac child welfare teams are jointly committed in providing services that follow the Indian Child welfare act and are culturally sensitive to the needs of Native American Families.
Description of Field Activities

The social work intern will have opportunities to practice at the micro and macro level. The social work intern will have opportunities to team cases with tribal workers in regards to child protection reports. The intern will have opportunities to provide direct service to children and families, court related services, and case management activities. The social work intern will also have opportunities to participate in community activities to promote social justice and provide leadership in promoting sustainable changes in service delivery.
