Keynote Evergreen House Annual Conference in Bemidji, MN

Geary and John
Day gave the opening keynote
presentation at the 2011
Evergreen House Annual Conference in
Bemidji, MN. A total of 226 people registered for the conference
that had the theme of "Building Your Preventionand Intervention
Tool Box To Strengthen Youth and Families." The conference
participants represented parents
and youth-serving professionals from throughout the region that
sought to gain knowledge, develop skills, exchange ideas and
share support. Erin Geary, MSW, is the community specialist with
the Center for Regional and Tribal Child Welfare Studies and
completing his Ph.D. studies at the University of Utah and John
Day, MSW, is the Program Director, American
Indian Projects.
Both the Center and AIP are part of the UMD Department of Social
Work.
