Social Work Faculty Member Gives Keynote Address at Conference on Women Offenders, "Resetting the Margins"

group photo Social Work Department faculty member Kathy Heltzer, MSSW,LICSW, gave the keynote address, "Resetting the Margins" Privilege and Marginalization: Two Sides of the Same Coin at the 6th Annual Conference on Women Offenders on April 9, 2010 at the University of Minnesota Continuing Education Conference Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. The conference is presented by the Advisory Task Force on Female Offenders Minnesota Community Corrections Association. Other speakers included Suzanne Koepplinger, Executive Director of the Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center, Lissa Jones, Executive Director of African American Family Services, Jane Hurley-Johncox and Joanna Woolman of the Reentry Clinic at William Mitchell College of Law.
