Portfolio Steps

1.     Initial Step (by the end of September during the first Fall semester of your concentration year).

 

·        Select and request faculty to be your Primary and Secondary Readers on your Portfolio committee. (They will be the ones to provide guidance and feedback to you regarding your Portfolio)

 

Your Academic Advisor must serve as either your Primary Reader or Second Reader of your Portfolio committee.

 

·        Arrange to meet with your Primary Reader and review Portfolio process.

 

2.     Mid year Review (by the end of the 2nd week of Spring Semester of your Concentration year or after your have completed 12credits of your Concentration year courses)

 

·        Submit your Portfolio (Learning Products you have completed up to this time and their associated reflections) to your Primary Reader.

 

·        Your Primary Reader will provide you with oral and written comments about your Portfolio and then forward your Portfolio to your Second Reader for review.  

 

3.     Final Review – (Begin this process at least 3 weeks prior to your anticipated date of  Final Oral Exam)

 

·        Submit Portfolio (Learning Products, associated reflections, Final Reflection and Resume) to your Primary Reader. If approved the Primary will pass on to the Secondary Reader.

 

·        Schedule Final Oral Exam

·        Final Oral Exams will generally take place in the final week of the Spring semester through the Wednesday of Spring Final’s Week.  You will, in consultation with your two Portfolio Readers, be responsible for scheduling your Oral Presentation. 

 

4.     Final Oral Exam (final week of Spring Semester)

·        Those students needing to complete Field II during the summer after their Final Oral Exam will need to submit their Field II learning products and associated reflection statements to their Field Liaison for final sign off on their oral exam.
