Social Work Department Faculty Honored

Evie Campbell, MSW, was recently honored by St. Louis County Health and Human Services for her work as chair of the agency's Diversity Council.
The event was marked by a ceremony in the lobby of the Government Service Building on April 7, 2009. MSW students attended, as well as county employees and community members.
A pipe ceremony was conducted by John Day, Director of American Indian Projects in the Department of Social Work. The St. Louis County Board of Commissioners adjourned their morning session early to attend.
As a "bonus" Commissioner Steve O'Neil, MSW(a graduate of the School of Social Development) gave a tour of the wind turbines on the roof of the building to
MSW student Michelle Flatau and her children, demonstrating the county's commitment to alternative energy use.
