Whats New:


Brian Skellenger ('06) has been busy in Minneapolis. After finishing Parade, he went into Midsummer Night's Dream at the Guthrie. He recently got cast in Altar Boyz at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, which runs from November through March.


Ben Elledge continues his national tour of Chicago. He joins the Equity cast in November.


The Yellow Tree Theatre, founded by Jason Peterson ('04) and Jessica Lind Peterson ('03), opens their season September 5 with String, Jessica's award-winning play. The L.A. Daily News called the play romance finely delivered.


Sarah Schmitz and Matt Salmela recently concluded a two-month run playing the title roles in Beauty and the Beast at the Red Mountain Theatre Company in Birmingham, Alabama.


Pegah Kadkhodaian ('02) has been living in New York City and most recently spent the summer working at the Sacramento Music Circus performing in Sound of Music, Sweeney Tood, and My Fair Lady. She had theprivilege of working with some of the most talented folks on and Off-Broadway. Before moving to New York she lived and worked in Chicago for four years where she performed at some of the best Regional Theatres in both the mid-west and the country. Some of the productions she performed in include, Beauty and the Beast (Belle in one production and Belle cover performed, and Silly Girl in another), Once Upon A Mattress (Lady Larken), West Side Story (Rosalia), Cats (Demteter), and Barefoot in the Park (Corie Bratter).


Christy Montour-Larson ('91) has directed over 60 productions from Shakespeare to Pinter to musicals to the newest works in America. She lives in Denver with her husband Mark, who is Art Director at KMGH-TV. As a Company Member of Curious Theatre Company, she as directed FUDDY MEERS (Denver Post Ovation Award & Marlowe Award for Best Director), PROOF (Marlowe Award for Best Director), TRUMBO and I AM MY OWN WIFE (Colorado Theatre Guild Nomination for Best Director). Also in Denver, she has directed at the Arvada Center, Paragon Theatre Ensemble, Mizel Arts Center and Town Hall Arts Center. Nationally, she has directed at the Seven Devils Playwright Conference, New American Theatre, TheatreWorks, The Duluth Playhouse, Dark Horse Theatre and Rochester Civic Theatre. Christy received her MFA in Directing at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She is an affiliate faculty member at Metropoli tan State College of Denver and is looking forward to directing RABBIT HOLE this winter at Curious.
