Upon entrance as a B.F.A. musical theatre emphasis candidate, any student who has had extensive music, song and/or dance training may be able to test out of certain introductory classes if they wish. Testing out of classes will require a proficiency performance. Contact the Theatre Department for more information. The following is a suggested example plan for the B.F.A. Theatre, Musical Theatre Emphasis program.
It does not contain the liberal education requirements, and is in accordance with the UMD catalog.
