UMD Theatre is housed in the Marshall Performing Arts Center (MPAC) and includes a 715 seat flexible thrust/proscenium theatre, a black-box experimental theatre, fully equipped scene, welding and costume shops, computerized lighting control, a digital and analogue recording studio and studio space for acting, dance and design.

MPAC was built in 1971-74 for $2.8 million, and was named after the parents of Misses Julia and Caroline Marshall and Mrs. Jessica Marshall Spencer (Albert and Julia N. Marshall) who were major donors to the building. Mrs Marjorie Congdon Dudley also donated, and is honored by the naming of the Dudley Experimental Theatre (within MPAC).

- Use of the Marshall Center requires one technical staff person to be on-site

- Make arrangements for tables and chairs at MPAC with Facilities Management
- Arrange all catering needs through Food Services

   located in Kirby 175, (218) 726-6222
   

- The technical coordinator can assist with arranging support spaces as needed
(i.e. box office, make-up room or dressing rooms. Check for availability)
