One of them has a date of 1890 so the scene is certainly French, even though this one is date is dated after Munger returned to the U.S. Sold for $3000 at Sotheby's, Los Angeles, auction of 12 Mar 1979, lot 162. At Oakland Museum, Oakland CA, since 1980.
