Tweed Museum of Art, University of Minnesota Duluth
Gift of Alice Tweed Tuohy
The Tweed Museum of Art possesses a surprisingly large and
increasingly recognized collection of European and American
paintings.
Most of these were purchased by George P. Tweed
and include major paintings by Charles Daubigny,
Theodore Rousseau, Jean-Francois Millet, and
Narcisse Diaz de la Pena.
The works were donated by Alice Tweed Tuohy to the
Tweed Museum of Art, University of Minnesota Duluth,
over a period of many years following Mr. Tweed's
death in 1946.
