Preparing for a Museum Visit
As you prepare for your museum visit please read the following information and review the museum rules with your students. We look forward to seeing you and your students at the Tweed Museum of Art for an exciting learning adventure!
Standard Museum Rules
Please do not:
- touch the art
- run
- yell or talk loudly
- take flash pictures
Please use the handrails on the stairs. Please look closely at the art and ask any questions you might have.
Also, we would appreciate your students wearing large and easily readable nametags with first names only. This will allow us to call the students by name and make them feel welcome in the museum.
The Tweed requires that teachers and accompanying chaperones remain with their groups and are responsible for the discipline and control of their students while guests at the museum. If necessary, museum tour guides or security guards may ask a teacher or chaperone to remove a student from the galleries if that student is being disruptive to the group.
