Museum and Store Hours:
Tuesday: 9:00am–8:00pm
Wednesday–Friday: 9:00am–4:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 1:00pm–5:00pm


Closed Mondays and University Holidays. In case of Inclement weather, the University may close the campus as a safety measure, so the Tweed Museum of Art will be closed. Otherwise, the Museum is open and will hold its programs as planned.


The Tweed Museum of Art is admission free. Donations welcome.

located on the campus of the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Tweed Museum of Art is a fiscal year 2014 recipient of an operating support grant program from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is funded, in part, by the arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.


The Tweed Museum of Art meets all ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards and is committed to developing exhibitions, activities and programs that are equally accessible to all museum visitors. The museum's parking, building, and galleries are all accessible to persons with disabilities. Elevators are located on all three levels of the museum. A wheelchair is available at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. Signed tours are available by appointment.
