Campfire Sign, now available as a poster, is one painting in the popular collection donated in 1981 to Tweed Museum of Art. These paintings, originally commissioned by the Northwest Paper Division of Potlatch Corporation, launched the most successful advertising campaign in marketing history.

Looking North features 160 color illustrations by Arnold Friberg, Hal Foster, and 13 other artists who created these stunning story-ads for the Northwest Paper Company in Cloquet, Minnesota between 1931 and 1970. In 1981, Potlatch Corporation/Northwest Paper Company donated the original illustrations to the Tweed Museum of Art, University of Minnesota Duluth, where they now reside.
