Mission Statement

Our mission is to assist the University of Minnesota Duluth in achieving its goals and objectives by recruiting, developing, and retaining a diverse productive non-academic workforce.

We will provide services and information which balances the unique needs of employees and employing units and is consistent with the University's policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.

We recognize our responsibility to help all employees attain satisfying and rewarding work lives.

We expect to work on a highly competent staff team that provides essential support for all employee resource matters, delivers high-quality and cost-effective services and programs, and fosters a positive work environment for all.

To fulfill this mission we will:

Promote a diverse workforce in which every member is accepted for her/his contribution to the University of Minnesota Duluth regardless of any protected/class status.

Promote a work environment that respects the employee as an individual, is sensitive to the needs of employees, and strives to protect health and safety.
