REGENTS SCHOLARSHIP

Effective Fall Semester 2009

The Regents Scholarship Program covers a portion of tuition costs for eligible employees enrolled in the University of Minnesota (University) credit-bearing courses. The portion covered is:

  • 90% of the tuition cost for eligible employees matriculated for the first time in a baccalaureate degree program
  • 75% of the tuition cost for all other eligible employees enrolled in courses covered under the Regents Scholarship program.

The Regents Scholarship Program covers eligible faculty, academic professional and administrative, civil service and union-represented staff employees. This policy is available online at http://policy.umn.edu/groups/hr/documents/policy/regentsscholarship_pol.cfm.

**Note: It is your responsibility to register for the class/es. To verify if the approved UMD Regents Scholarship Application has been credited to your account, go to http://www.d.umn.edu/register/, then under Student Accounts Receivable, click “View Your Student Account.”

Instructions for U of M employees from all campuses with non-academic (civil service bargaining and non-bargaining) and academic (faculty and P&A) appointments registering for a course at the U of M Duluth Campus:

1) Fill out the University of Minnesota Duluth Application for Regents' Scholarship Form (PDF) and acquire all the necessary departmental signatures.

2) Submit the original signed form for verification of eligibility to:

3) UMD Human Resources will forward the approved form to the UMD Office of Financial Aid and Registrar for entry into Peoplesoft.

Instructions for U of M Duluth campus employees with non-academic (civil service bargaining and non-bargaining) and academic (faculty and P&A) appointments registering for a course at the U of M - Twin Cities, Morris, Crookston, or Rochester:

1) Fill out the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Application for Regents' Scholarship Form and acquire all the necessary departmental signatures.

2) Submit the original signed form for verification of eligibility to:

3) Upon approval, the form will be sent back to you by UMD Human Resources. You are responsible for mailing the approved Regents Scholarship form to the appropriate campus Registrar's Office.
