I am writing to strongly encourage you to begin scheduling vacation time as soon as possible.

(Almost) everyone in our office carries large vacation balances. We have a window of opportunity when our client needs are less and vacation can more easily be absorbed.

Those who submit their requests for vacation time by ____________ for vacations to be taken by ____________ (i.e., August 15?) will be given the first choice of dates. Should more than one person submit a request for specific dates, years of service at UMD will be the deciding factor. Requests that come in after __________ will be approved if workload allows.
