Volunteers and UMD
Departments should make every effort to ensure that all volunteers are well-grounded in the basic University policies and tenets for appropriate conduct. This should be done by having the volunteer read the following: 1. Code of Conduct (PDF) http://www1.umn.edu/regents/policies/academic/Code_of_Conduct.pdf 2. Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources 3. Internal Access to University Information http://www.fpd.finop.umn.edu/groups/ppd/documents/policy/access.cfm If the volunteer did not look up the EOAA document referenced on his/her cover letter, make certain that s/he either reviews online or receives a copy of the “Office of Equal Opportunity & Affirmative Action: Opening doors for over 30 years” brochure.
