Driver Improvement Program for Over 54:
Beginner Course (full course is for first-timers and must be taken before the refresher course)

At 54, you are encouraged to take this class and submit the certificate to your insurance company, so that when you turn 55 the discount starts with no delay.

This program consists of 8-hours of educational videos and classroom discussion. There are no written or behind-the-wheel tests. Participants are encouraged to contribute to open discussion on a voluntary basis. This program must be followed up every three years with a 4-hour refresher program to maintain the 10% auto insurance discount. A reminder letter is sent to you 60 days before your certification expires to help you maintain your insurance discount. The cost is $20 per person payable to the instructor on the night of the training.

Driver Improvement Program for over 54:
Refresher Course
(Refresher courses are for drivers who have had the training before)

This is a 4-hour refresher course of the "Driver Improvement Program for over 54 - who have completed the Beginner Course." The cost is $18 per person payable to the instructor on the night of the training.

Minimum participants of 10. If the minimum is not reached, this class will be consolidated with the Part II Beginner Course on April 16.
